Domaine Cacheux Jacques & Fils
The Cacheux family has been rooted in Vosne-Romanée for generations, but it was in the 1950s that Jacques Cacheux led a pivotal shift, moving from farming to producing and bottling wines under the family’s own label. When he retired in 1994, his son Patrice—fourth generation—took over the domaine. Covering seven hectares, the domaine encompasses 11 esteemed appellations, including Échézeaux Grand Cru, Vosne-Romanée Village, and several premiers crus. Among its most treasured holdings is a parcel in La Croix Rameau, a tiny 0.60-hectare premier cru tucked beside Romanée-Saint-Vivant. In recent years, Patrice has steered the domaine toward biodynamic practices, eliminating herbicides and insecticides both in the vineyard and the cellar—affirming its status as a leading name in Vosne-Romanée.
